An Oconomowoc teacher known for her caring nature and kind heart is being remembered by those who knew her. Georgie Krenz, who taught first grade at Summit Elementary School, died Sept. 9. She was 51 years old. An obituary for Krenz said she "was a light in every room" and "touched more lives than we will ever be able to count. " "She genuinely cared for each and every student she taught, and always made sure they knew how much they were valued and loved," the obituary said. Lindsey Kupter, whose two daughters were in Krenz's class last school year, remembered Krenz for how she made her daughters feel welcome after the family moved to the area in the middle of the school year.
